It seems to me that throughout the years TV has become more popular, and most people have at least one TV in their house. Comparing Fahrenheit 451 to our world exposed how close we are to becoming like them. With the government controlling us, ad our addiction to TV; we have to battle against ourselves to prevent becoming like the world of 451. We do have our differences to 451, because we do not burn books. I find it I retesting that Bradbury wrote this book in 1953 and does an excellent job at predicting what todays society would be like.
It is a replication of the media's fantasy of the "real man" (tough guise). As the dominant male figure, he strives only for these few things but rarely succeeds in getting them because his wife makes most of the household decisions. During the entire episode, Ray is only seen doing housework once. Unfortunately, he is completely clueless as to what to do and Debbie has to take over. This clearly shows that even though Ray is the dominant one in the house, he is not required to do thing pertaining to housework and childcare.
Two images, the refrigerator and the television would probably dominate a glance at modern civilization. Television is the center of most homes. Families generally spend downtime with the rest of their family watching a TV program. Keeping this in mind it is easy to realize how much of an impact that the content broadcasted on television has on the human race. The writer of a TV show, especially today, has a highway to communicate with the entire world.
In most TV shows they do this for viewing purposes because no one wants to watch the machine run for a long time but by cutting time out they make it seem a lot more interesting to the regular person whose sitting at home watching the show. Both things that the shows do posses if the idea that these can be real police cases throughout the country just over done for the sake of making money for parent company CBS. In TV shows you can simply show an object to show the audience what you are talking about but in texts it is a lot
Even though watching television might be considered a waste of time because we are sitting around for hours heedless. It is important to know that we are not becoming less intelligent, passive and insensitive as a result of doing this activity. Shirky states, “I was forced into the channel of media the way it was because it was the only option” (240). Regardless of the author’s statement that when he was growing up, the only recreational thing available to do was to watch TV, naturally his intelligence or social consciousness and proactivity was not affected during this period of time. Shirky expresses, “It doesn’t mean that we’ll never sit around mindlessly watching Scrubs on the couch” (240).
This movie is a great way to learn about life before the internet and TV. Radio is still a very good way for people to tap into their imaginations. People have to picture the things they hear on the radio, they don’t see them which is very different from the things we have nowadays. The way people acted and had to go about doing things were much more different than you would think they would. Joe the main character of the story is a young boy living with his parents and much of his extended family in a small house in Brooklyn.
Diet of television is the answer. I think parents should not replace a baby sitter for the TV, or even replace them selves for the TV. I know a lot of parents who prefer to sleep 30 minutes alone, and all they do is send their children to watch TV or play violent video games, they totally forget about the damage it is causing to them, and when they grow up parents complaint why their children are so violent with them and everybody else. I think the idea of built-in time-channel lock circuitry is awesome. Imagine a kid solving a puzzle -which will help to develop his brain- instead of watching TV; also this kind of activities will keep him safe from violence.
While many critics argue that it is unhealthy for people to go home and watch TV after a long day, they fail to realize that sitting on the couch is not the only way to watch television these days. For instance, walking or running on the treadmill at home or at the gym is one way to stay tuned with TV after work. Grabbing a cup of coffee and the remote after a long hard day of work is relaxing and soothing to the mind. It would be so called unhealthy to stress before, during, and even after work or school. It is safe to argue that television only becomes unhealthy for a human if that is the one and only activity in their day to day

It has been researched that the noise that comes from the television keeps kids up at night! The noise isn’t the only problem… the light is too! All the flashing and bright colors distract kids and make them stay up later then they should be. Computers, cellphones, and video games are also very distracting kids stay up all night on social websites on their phone or laptop and talk to friends or post pictures….then they wait, wait for other kids to comment or like it and that keeps them up all night long!
Have you ever wanted to know what a Medical Technician does? Most people think it sounds like a boring job and it doesn’t make a lot of money. They are wrong. I chose this career because I always wanted to be a paramedic. I enjoy watching TV shows about people saving other individuals lives and it really interested me how the professionals do it in real life.
