Solving Environmental Problems In this country, environmental problems are a serious fact that affect human health and need to be solved. Televisions, newspapers, and magazines all discuss serious environmental problems occurring such as global warming, deforestation, and overpopulation. But no matter how much the media discusses these issues, very few people do anything to solve the problem. Nobody cares about our environment whereas humans are mainly the cause of global warming. Each individual and the government of this country should play an active role in solving environmental problems through reducing waste, minimizing deforestation, and limiting the excessive use of coal. First of all, waste production is an economic and environmental issue which negatively affects people’s health and needs to be reduced through the actions of the individuals of this country. Better materials and efficient manufacturing processes should be used in reducing the production of waste. Most people dispose of hazardous products by throwing them in the gutters or burning them; this affects human well-being. If the product is reactive, it could cause damage to human life and property. For example, in some schools in Los Angeles, trashcans are provided all over the campus, but the students still do not make use of them. Waste on the ground is a problem that the board of trustees should act on by further imposing on the students the importance of keeping a clean environment. Another example is that the people on the street throw garbage everywhere, whether they are walking or driving in a car. The masses should not be throwing out trash carelessly because this waste is washed into the sewers and travels straight into the ocean, therefore, causing illness in people. For instance, my mother does not make mistakes in buying products when she goes to the grocery store. She buys products
