This means that lynching has stopped. It may be likely to return again though. In conclusion, the 1880s to the 1940s was a frightful time for the African Americans. Lynching was used as a weapon to scare the African Americans. Many questions are still asked today on why they killed not only African Americans, but innocent
For most of his professional life, Ray Lewis has tried to expiate his sin from the year 2000. The fans have been particularly draconian, however, to Ray. Some fans are xenophobic, as others are racist, and the idea of a black man committing murder and getting away with it is unbearable to them. This raises a question of propriety, and, in this case, people are being unjust. The quixotic nature of the fans hatred is unbearable to say the least, impractical as can be.
The KKK quickly adopted violent methods. The increase in murders finally resulted in a backlash among Southern elites who viewed the Klan's excesses as an excuse for federal troops to continue occupation. The organization declined from 1868 to 1870 and was destroyed by President Ulysses S. Grant's prosecution and enforcement under the Civil Rights Act of 1871. In 1915, the second Klan was founded, it preached racism, anti-Catholicism, anti-Communism, nativism, and anti-Semitism. Some local groups took part in lynchings, attacks on private houses and public property, and other violent activities.
After two revolts in AD 70 and AD 135, many Jews were ostracized from Palestine and forbidden to live there. They made settlements wherever possible and quite often they were persecuted and compelled to move on from country to country. Known as 'Christ killers', the Jews were despised throughout the Christian world and beyond, this anti-Semitism was caused mainly from the Jew considering themselves as 'Gods chosen people’. As a result near the end of the nineteenth century when anti-Semitism in Europe was the norm, an estimated three million Jews fled Eastern Europe in an attempt to avoid persecution. Around this time Zionism was developed, its aim was to establish its national homeland in Palestine and call it - by it title in the Old Testament - Israel.
Whites began to lynch blacks due to the belief that they were the superior race. In the years between 1882 and 1968, as many as 3,440 blacks were lynched, including men, women, and children. Some whites saw lynchings as offensive, but they supported them in order to keep order among the blacks. Whites believed that if blacks were not in constant fear, they would rebel. The belief of stereotypes played into the lynchings a significant amount.
Many similarities can be found between the way in which German Americans were treated during World War I and the way Muslim Americans were treated after the 9/11 terrorist attack. German Americans suffered discrimination during a war they had nothing to do with and the same unfair treatment happened with Islamic and Arab Americans after the 9/11 attacks. This was widespread and hurt many innocent people solely because of people’s ignorance and racism. The discrimination of German Americans started when they stood up and labeled themselves anti-war. This caused the people and President Wilson to question their loyalty to America.
It is a powerful force that weakens human relations and I believe that it is a major reason for divisions amongst members of different ethnicities, races, and religious groups in our society. While prejudice certainly leads to problems, in history, very rarely has ethnocentrism led to the mass slaughter of millions of innocent people. The best known and most extreme example that I can think of that ever occurred was during Nazi Germany. During that time, Adolf Hitler decided that he hated Jews, as well as other Non-German groups of people, and had many innocent people slaughtered in concentration camps during the

“A Modest Proposal” Social Satire Essay People question why some people tend to be homeless. Well most of the time it’s because they can’t afford a home to stay in.
