He offered a lot of help and was willing to make notes on my paper to attempt at helping me make my paper the best it could possibly be. I really appreciate his time and effort and definitely took in to account some of the great and helpful feedback he gave me. Another person I would also like to shortly thank is Professor Miller. She took the time out of her busy schedule to sit down and have a conference with me and go over any questions. It made it easier to figure out exactly what she was looking for in my paper.
(Einon, 2012) To have a group with any level of success, each person involved needs to play a part and collaborate effectively. In our group 1, most of us were involved from the start of the assignment. As a group we shared ideas back and forth and respected each other’s opinions and ideas. Sarah T and Sarah E set times that the group was to respond to questions by. By having deadlines set like this, it made everyone accountable and able to have their information or opinion written up in the wiki so we were able to move onto the next stage in a timely manner.
One of the plans was to motivate staff to reach goals in a positive manner. One of the practical example that was given is to use contests and incentives to help keep workers motivated and feeling rewarded. I could immediately relate and understand the task at hand. With hands on, I am able to do, and perform the learned skill as it is being taught to me. I recently started a new position at my current work place and the software that this department uses is totally different from what I was accustom to using for the past thirteen years.
I will use all of these characteristics to help this organization reach out to people in need. I currently represent the “Scholarship” Trait of NJHS by doing the work to the best of my ability. When I do the work as best as I can, I earn a good grade in any of my classes. Getting good grades will allow me to have many paths to go on in my later life. With me getting
Team B: Mellissa Smith 1. What went well in the project? What could have gone better? I thought the project work itself was fun, creating the reports and memos and other communication were great practice for the real world. I really enjoyed getting to know 2 of my team members whom I worked very closely with on this project and will keep in touch with after this class is long over.
How do we become knowledge workers within our own organizations? Hammer (2004) suggests that we are entering an age where we will all be knowledge workers. I find some truth in that because we are always learning from our peers, our employees, and our supervisors. But it is necessary for us to know where that newfound knowledge comes from by finding its source. I am the type of person who wants to know everything and be the best at every task I perform, and doing the necessary work to identify the appropriate source of information will make that task just a bit easier.
Unexpectantly the roles had switched, and I became the interviewee. She made me feel at ease and was even able to offer up sound advice on how to make my life what I wanted it to be. These traits, plus the ones that she has acquired or enhanced over the years, are the traits that make a great public relations specialist. The desire to write or create new ideas, the drive to speak in public, make a connection with people, the ability to get back up from a problem and try again, and remembering that there is more to life than just work. These are the traits that will help anyone succeed in the public relations
Frederick Douglass and Malcolm X get success further on their lives. Frederick Douglass and Malcolm X is the great and inspiring person in the world. They are also an example for us to improve our learning process in our life. While learning the stories written by Frederick Douglass and Malcolm X, the lessons I have learned from them is to take the advantage of educations that I have received from school, college, professors, and from my friends. Encourage your self-education by yourself, and do not expect from others to force you to learn.
As for the first grade of an (A) I received for my first course. This has made my critical thinking skills to explode with the strength to learn as much as I can to earn the best grades I can in order to prove to myself that I made the best choice of all the alternatives that I had to choose from. I have explored where I can use my new found skills of critical thinking, and I have expressed that critical thinking skills have come in a really effective way on how I handle situations at work in order to keep a calm, cool and collected mind control. The ability to have a mode of thinking that enables us to communicate effectively and form good problem solving abilities. Good thinking skills give one the ability to analyze and assess a problem or situation so as to find the right corrective measures to solve the issue at hand. Critical Thinking is self directed and self disciplined. Critical thinkers are always working to improve the skills of reasoning and intellectual abilities which enable them to try and improve the world around them.
