Social change is an event or movement that affects the people in a society. Key features can include changing attitudes, behaviors or patterns. It's important to keep in mind that the change isn't always positive or better. Some examples include, MADD - Mothers Against Drunk Driving - MADD's mission: to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. SADD - Student's Against Destructive Decisions - To provide students with the best prevention and intervention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving and other destructive decisions. Amber Alerts - The AMBER Alert Program is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, transportation agencies, and the wireless industry, to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. The goal of an AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and the safe recovery of the child. Blues Babe - The Foundation seeks to provide financial support and mentoring for those students who have shown the aptitude and commitment to their education, but whose families may not have the resources to ensure completion of their undergraduate degrees. In addition to its support of young people through their public schools, the Foundation will also fulfill its mission by including support of community centers and community-focused organizations as part of its scope. Modernization is defined as the change that gradually happens over time through industrialization. Meaning that many smaller companies have either closed down, or expanded over a period of time.
