As technology advances through the years more and more devices become available to make things more convenient. Thanks to the invention of Smartphones and GPS navigation that has become available; there is no need to stop to use the payphone or stop and ask directions to the nearest airport. Those days are numbered as new technologies are being developed through the years to come for the everyday consumer. Since the early days of cell phone technology, which included car phones and big bulky cell phones, there have been many great advances in technology to make things more convenient. The new sleek iPhones and Droids are proof of an amazing advancement in the cell phone/PDA market. In comparison to computers and television, cell phones have gone through a lot of transformations since it first debuted. It started out as a simple portable telephone that has now evolved into a telephone, GPS, personal planner, small gaming device and much more. Today’s cell phones are getting more and more advanced and some have evolved into Smartphones, basically in a nutshell they are handheld computing devices with built in wireless telephone capabilities. Some features of today’s Smartphones include operating systems, GPS, cameras, video capture abilities along with some editing, personal organizers, calendars, mp3 player, and many more capabilities. There are various models of the Blackberry including the Blackberries Bold, Curve and Storm with a price that can reach out to about every consumer in the market. The Blackberry Storm was the first Blackberry to have touch screen capabilities. Today there are many different Smart phone manufacturers with the Apple iPhone models being the most prominent followed by the Verizon Droid models.
