Small Group Working Environment in Nursing February 7, 2011 LOOK BACK I still remember the first day I practiced in Toronto East General Hospital Respiratory Unit. Generally, this case is about two nurses how to work in close cooperation with each other to provide daily health care under a hospital environment. I shadowed a nurse to give patients medicines. My buddied nurse left the cup of medicines on the patient’s desk and then we left. I felt a little strange but I didn’t say anything, but now I feel very sorry. If the time can go back, I will help the patient eat all of the medications before we leave. She put all the pills in a small cup and gave the cup to the patient. She told the patient to eat them and then we left. When we went out of the patient’s room, I felt a little strange so I asked my buddied nurse: "Do we need to watch patient eat there pills before we leave". She said: "This patient has been here for a long time. I know she will eat the medications". After my buddied nurse told me her reason, I didn’t say anything, but now I feel very sorry. If the time can go back, I will help the patient eat all of the medications before I leave. ELABORATE I, my buddied nurse and the patient are involved in the event. My buddied nurse put all the pills in a small cup and gave the cup to the patient. She told the patient to eat them all and then we left. When we went out of the patient’s room, I felt a little strange so I asked my buddied nurse: ‘Do we need to watch patient eat these pills before we leave’. She said: ‘This patient has been here for a long time. I know she will eat the medications’. After my buddied nurse told me her reason, I didn’t say anything. I thought my buddied nurse have more knowledge and experience so maybe we are not necessary to watch patient eating pills, but I also felt it is not
