Sleep deprivation is how people spend their time sleep at home less than eight hours per night. Today, people can be very busy with work and study time and may not have much time to sleep. Today, many young overseas students who study must also find time to manage their life with study, part time work and also relationships. In June, a survey concerning how overseas students sleep deprived, was carried out. The sample included 5 males and 12 females studying academic English at Wesley English collage in Sydney. The majority of the sample were Chinese, Vietnam, Thai and Korean. Other subjects were from Bangladesh, Mongolian, Kuwait and Japanese. The research was conducted by means of a questionnaire, which was given to respondents to complete in class time. The questionnaire was administered informally and contained 8 questions. The results were collected and converted to statics. The table shows the number of hours per night male and female students spent time to sleep per night in five categories. The majority of males and females spent 6 hours per night on sleep. Three students on the survey spent 7 hours per night sleep. In brief, it is clear from the graph that the majority of males and females 10 students said they slept 6 hours per night. The table shows the number of activities male and female students spent time go to sleep late at night in ten categories. The majority of males and females 9 students spent time using the Internet. Although, 8 students spent time talking with family and friends In conclusion, it is clear from the table that the majority of males and females 9 students said they spent time on activities with using the Internet.
