Associate Level Material Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet Part 1 For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions. Physical health: Exercise is a very important aspect of my life. Although I do not attend a gym regularly or have a workout regimen, I do stay active by playing sports as often as I can. Whether it is a pickup game of basketball or backyard football, whenever possible, I run around and get my heart heart up. Social health: This aspect could definitely use some attention in my life. With a busy work schedule and family obligations, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain a social life. I do however, make time throughout the week to spend time with my best friend. This allows me time to vent about my week and let loose a little. My girlfriend is also very supportive and is more like a best friend as well. This makes home life a lot more relaxing. Intellectual health: My intellectual health is at an all time high at the moment. Attending college online has challenged me in more ways than I ever expected. Though challenging, I have found my classes very rewarding and look forward to my assignments each week. Environmental health: Most of the credit for my positive environmental health belongs to my girlfriend. She keeps our home clean and comfortable. After a long day at work, coming home to relax may be one of the most important things that I do on a daily basis to improve my overall wellness. Emotional health: I suppose my girlfriend gets credit for this as well. We have open lines of communication and talk to each other very easily.
