Associate Level Material Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet Part 1 For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions. Physical health: The ability to perform normal daily activities. I believe that I have good physical health I may not be the ideal weight for my height but it does not keep me from performing the daily tasks needed to survive. Social health: The ability to have satisfying interpersonal relationships. I believe that I can use some work in my social health department. I have trouble meeting new people all my life I have never met a new friend on my own they usually know someone in my family before I ever converse with them. Once a person gets to know me they usually say that I am a good person. Intellectual health: The ability to think clearly, reason objectively, analyze critically, and use brain power effectively to meet life’s challenges. I feel that I am a very intellectually healthy person. I always able to figure things out no matter how much pressure I am under. I usually do well in school and other things that require intellectual health. Environmental health: The appreciation of the external environment and the role individuals play to preserve, protect, and improve environmental conditions. I have grown to be environmentally healthy because in the past I used to be a litter bug. I used to just throw my trash out anywhere and now I take time out and find a trash bin. I know that just by not throwing out trash anymore does not make me environmentally healthy but it is a start. Emotional health: The ability to express emotions when they are appropriate. I feel that I am emotionally healthy I know
