“Single sex schools or Co-Ed?” In the essay “Single sex Schools" Diane Urbina argues that single sex schools are better that co-ed. First, she says that students learn at different rates. She says that the idea is not that boys are better on a sustain subject than girls are. When students sometimes do a test it shows that boys are better in a subject and girl in another. Boys tend to develop slower than girl’s do. Girls tend to learn things faster than boys like they learn to read earlier than a boy.. Girls are just better at reading, and writing. Girls say that they are dumb at math and science. Secondly, Diane says that boys and girls act differently when they are together. When a girl or more see a guy they always tend to start giggling. When boys see girl they become louder than they were. Girls and boys tend to flirt with one another to get each other attention and that is normal. Flirting can cause problems in a boys or girls learning. Finally, the last reason Diane says for why single sex school are better is because teachers have bias. Teachers tend to pay more attention to boys than to girls. When a boy say something in class without him raising his hand the teachers won’t say anything to them. When boys raised their hand they would pick a girl.
