In William Golding’s novel, “Lord of the Flies”, biblical references are used on multiple occasions. One of these references is Simon. Simon is one of the boys who crash lands onto the island. He is thought to be the Christ figure in the story. He represents good in all of the evils of the island, which is of importance in the book. William Golding achieves this portrayal well.
