China’s government was nothing like Egypt’s. In China, in the earlier dynasties, it was all centralized, and functioned a lot like feudalism in the renaissance in Europe, or Mesopotamian city states. However as time moved on, and china began to expand, in the Zhou Dynasty the government became decentralized. However in Egypt, It remained an absolute monarchy throughout its history. Also, Chinese emperors were viewed as kingly, while the Egyptian kings, or pharaohs were seen and praised as gods.
The first dynasty to rule over a unified China. They were heavily influenced by legalist teachings that promoted soldiers and officials strictly on the basis of accomplishment, but not by birth. First Emperor: He was the founder of the Qin Dynasty and was also the first ruler to unify ancient China. He eliminates regional differences by creating a single body of law and standardizing weights and measures. Han Dynasty: The immediate successor to the Qin Dynasty.
Two of the more common ways she discusses is burial and cremation, which happen to be the two ways Mayans would commonly use. The practice I chose to evaluate on is the normal burial, but cremation was also common among the great nobles, and funerary temples were placed above their urns. It really just amazes me that way back in the times of the ancient Mayan civilizations, the Mayans used the two most common ways in America to eternally lay to rest the bodies of those who
The Mayans had a writing system which was Hieroglyphics, however the Incans did not. Although the Incans did not have a written language they had a verbal language called Quechua. The Incans had a road system that transported goods and ideas, however, the Mayans did not develop a road system and it slowly declined due to slow technological advancements. The Mayans were able to record history because they had invented hieroglyphics. The Incans were not able to because they had no written language which led to the lack of knowledge about this civilization.

The formation of villages and communities in both Egypt and Greece led to the introduction of politics and structured religion in the regions. In relation to religion- for the ancient Greeks, religion and all aspects of life were inseparable. One or more of the many gods in the Greek Pantheon had a hand in all things, sacred and profane. The spheres of agriculture, economy, society and family were all influenced by the powers of the divine. These mundane areas of life were no less important to the gods than ritual, sacrifice, worship, oracles and magic and, of course, death- nothing was excluded by divine influence.
Both the krater and the lekythos were used as grave markers but they are extremely different. No longer the deceased is shown laid upon a stand but interacting with the living as seen on the lekythos. The great departure from geometric style can be attributed to the better understanding of the human form during Classical Greek art. Athletics and religion were a big part of Greek culture. They would often hold Panatheniac games which incorporated religious ceremonies and athletic competitions.
Also at the center of the pyramid was a chamber held for the pharaohs mummified body’s surrounded by their treasurer which they thought they could carry with them to the afterlife( Culture and Values, Cunningham /Reich, 2010 , chapter 1). What is the central concept of Taoism and what does it emphasize? The central concept of Taoism is harmony with natural process in the inner (within ourselves) and outer (our surrounding) world. They were both quite different. China did not believe in trading much with other countries at all: in a sense of, they already had all they needed which was an elitist style view on other countries. So they traded with themselves and did business with themselves. Most of their money came from agriculture. On the other hand, India was huge into trading.
The Shang Dynasty was one of the oldest tribes of ancient China. The dynasty reign was from 16th century BC - 11th century BC. China's isolation and its sense of superiority shaped not only chinese attitudes towards people, but also their conception of them selves. The key characteristics of the Chinese view of the world were a belief that the Chinese stood at the center of the universe, that theirs was the 'Middle Kingdom', surrounded in all four directions. The belief in a powerful protective, Shang Di, the original ancestor of the ruling house, encouraged a sense of community.
