Similarities and Differences in Adolescent Development September 23, 2013 Abstract This paper is to attempt to explain the similarities and the differences in adolescent development, to find if experiences that a male adolescent has are the same for the females. To look at the development, self-esteem and social anxiety, has anything to do with the mental development with adolescents as well. Similarities and Differences in Adolescent Development \ The interests of an adolescent males and females have similarities, however can be very different. As for an adolescent male in physical development tends to be a bit stronger than a female, but the female adolescents appear to have more of a stronger mental strength. This is one of the difference that adolescents have that tend to separate each other, however both male and females tend to notice changes, especially in the earlier adolescent stage. The physical development would be that certain parts of the body are changing like; sexual body parts are starting to become noticeable, growing hair on those sexual body parts, under the arms, on the legs, and chest accompanied with body order. These are the developmental changes that both adolescents will go through, but the time frame is not always the same some are late bloomers and will develop a little later than others (Perry & Pauletti, 2011) Adolescent intellectual development one would say that girls seem to complete tasks on a verbal level, and boys seem to do better on a written
