Siddhartha's journey Siddhartha's a younge boy who lives in Indian and he is also the son of Brahmin. Siddhartha comes from a wealthy family and everyone in the village believe that Siddhartha will become as successful as his father. Siddhartha also has a best friend and follower, Govinda. One day the monks called Samanas passed through Siddhartha's village. They looked starved and barley had cloths. They came to his village begging for food. The Samanas believe that enlightenment can be reached by asceticism. Siddhartha believed that being a Samana could help give him the right answers that he is looking for in life. They then both reconized each other and Siddharths tells Govinda that he wants to become someone new. Govinda then continues back to his journey. Siddhartha then searches for the ferryman who he has met years ago. Siddhartha then meet the ferryman named Vasudeva. Vasudeva then becomes a guide for Siddhartha and travels by his side. Siddhartha then studies the river and can hear the river say "om". Kamala and a 11-year old boy come across Siddhartha and the ferry man to see Gotama. A snake then bites Kamala and she dies quickly, but before she died she told Siddhartha that the 11-year old boy is his son. Siddhartha then takes care of his son and developes love for him. The boy is spoiled and wants to return the the life he use to have so he ran away and stole all of his money. Vasudeva then tells Siddhartha to let his son go, so he did. Siddhartha studied the river for years and Vasudeva told him that he has reached enlightment and he will become the new ferryman. Vasudeva left Siddhartha and went into the forrest. Govinda goes back to the river seeking for enlightment. Govinda hears about a wise ferryman who live on the river. Govinda runs into the ferry man and notices its Siddhartha. They both talk enlightment and Siddhartha asks Govinda to kiss
