Si was drafted into the Army during Vietnam and retired from the Army in 1993. He is now a blue collar worker at his brothers company, Duck Commander, where he carves reeds, for the duck calls by hand. He has published a book and is also a reality TV celebrity on A&E’s "Duck Dynasty" and the Outdoor Channels "Buck Commander".
