Should We Buy Name Brand Products?

Did you know that you are paying 50% more than you should be by buying name brand products? Should people be paying more for the label of the product, or are the cheaper counterparts just as good? Some people believe that brand name labels are better, that they guarantee acceptance and quality. But others’ opinions differ. They think that you could buy products just as good without the huge price tag. However, brand name products are not worth the extra money charged for the label. Some brand name products are actually a lower quality than other non-designer brands. UGGs, for instance, have been known to wear down before you get a chance to really wear them. Other non brand name boots may last longer, which means that if you bought UGGs you had to pay more just to be ripped off. So you spent more money on a product that wasn’t even well made. Some brand name products may be a little better quality wise, but they are still not worth the exorbitant prices. Maybe the fabric shrinks less, or the sole gets slightly less worn down, but is it worth so much more money, just for a little more quality? Also, you are just paying more for the name, so the quality might be the same even if it weren’t a brand name product. Also, the products cost way more than they should. Why waste all your money just to fit in? If people spend all their money on expensive brand name products, they might not have enough for what they would enjoy more in the long run. If you can buy something of the same quality for less, you’re just wasting you’re hard earned money. Others may disagree, saying that buying brand name products help you fit in, like “status symbols” or that designer brands guarantee their products, whereas cheaper companies may not, but honestly, money can be spent better.
