There are many ways I could serve other with my education, by doing my work for this country, by serving the ones that are less fortunate than I, and to teach the next generation of not just students, but also people that motivation and inspiration are the keys to success and that they should never give up. First, I'd try to do my work in this world by what I am taught in my classroom and applying it to the real world. I would use the morals that my teachers use in the classroom in a world that desperately needs my intelligence, and my sense of service. There is no justice in this world and I would use my education to try and apply it to where it needs to be like: in the world, in the courts, in the prisons, in the fields, in the study and in the classroom, at home and abroad. A second way I'd use my education to serve others is by serving the people that are less fortunate than I am.
Those parents have to stay vigorously involved in schooling their kids. Surely the obligation to ensure our nation’s future must be shared also by those who don’t have children in the public schools. Those people who should take an interest in the students that will eventually be stepping into the workforce. They should be developing work-study groups, internships and job placement banks that they can recruit and develop to be successful. Evidently, the tasks of educating our children nowadays are a lot more difficult than simple examinations and easy solutions.
The expectations a teacher places on his or herself are directly related to those placed on their students. In order to ask students to meet our expectations, we must rise to the challenge of creating our own expectations that are high and attainable. Often times, teachers will not have any expectations of themselves, but place ridiculously high and unattainable expectations on their students. When students do not have any background knowledge of meeting expectations or a good example of what meeting expectations looks like, they will struggle with rising to the challenge. A teacher with high expectations for his or herself will ultimately pass that quality on to their students.
So, it’s the duty of the teacher try to figure out what’s causing students that they are not taking interest in their classes. If I were a teacher I would have followed the following steps as a teacher to make the content not boring and make students more active in the classroom. As a teacher I need to aware of learning, motivation, behavior, and development theories in order to relate to my students and push them to reach their full potential. It is my duty to see that all my students are being motivated this is only fair to the students. They deserve my time and full attention in regards to their
The reason I believe that it still exists is because only the people who stay focused on what they want to achieve and dedicate themselves to working hard actually achieve their goals. The people who don’t think that the American Dream exists are the people who don’t work hard for what they want and just expect things to come to them or be handed to them. I am living proof that the dream is still alive today. My parents come from the middle to lower class and have gone to school to educate themselves. They have both worked hard to be able to give me and my sister a better life.
I would want to have done the same things once I have my own classroom and I feel fairly passionate for students to understand and develop tolerance towards people who may be different than themselves. I feel that as teachers, we can take action to really mold our students to grow and be better individuals living in this world. I really do believe that issues in the matter of race/ethnicity and culture has to do with educating oneself of these things and practicing the basic matters a person should carry with themselves. I really think that these issues need to be discussed in depth when students are young and continuously because it is harder for one’s mind to see the wrong in something they believed was right for most of their
My plans are to not only use education as a tool to prepare myself for a profession, but also to help me become a self sufficient individual who is fully prepared for life. Continuing my education in counseling has been my ultimate goal. Now, I will be able to help others by providing the necessary orientation in aspects of life such as: marriage, substance abuse that can make a difference in society. My parents did not realize all the important values I had learned from them. I believe that those values lead me to pursue my goals.
In the story of “My Life is Average” by Mike Rose, he talks about how kids and people at a young age will only strive to a goal that you set. This talks about the relationship between a teacher and a student; it is the teacher’s job to make sure the students can comprehend the lesson they are teaching, but I also think it is the student’s job to be able to take all of the information in and retain it. Teachers need to be aware if their students are struggling with their education, while students need to stay motivated. What I perceive Rose is trying to say is that teachers need to keep high standards because they are responsible for the students that depend on it. I believe this to be relevant in every single person’s life.
Of course, being obnoxious is not the idea. The key is to become a master of communication with teachers and fellow students, all of whom are a part of the school community. Most importantly, those who are outside of the community. I do not want to make Abraham Clark High School sound as if it produces the perfect students, because it doesn't. But the school deserves a lot of credit for its efforts.
His teachers are responsible for giving him the tools he needed to succeed. The No Child Left Behind Act was made for this reason, so schools can hire adequate teachers to challege students and make them better in school. I am content that the No Child Left Behind Act was passed because all my teachers help me a lot and make sure they are doing their best so I can be ready for college. If the No Child Left Behind Act was not passed, then there would be more schools like Ballou. Schools where kids do not try and are not guaranteed to make it through
