Should School Children Wear Uniforms? I think school children should wear uniforms. They, wearing same clothes, remind me of the penguins. They look so alike that one’s eyes can be blind but we all know that parent penguins allways find their own baby penguin. There are very good reasons that can be told about why children should wear school uniforms. But in some private schools one day of a week they are allowed to wear casually which turns the schoolday into a parade. This “free from uniform” day lets the children express their way of thinking, their attitude to life, their taste of dressings as well as expressing thier economical and social status. Although children are having fun when they dress as they like, it may not be that fun for some of them. Uniforms remove the gap between rich families’ children and poor families’ children. It saves the souls of poor by equalizing the social classes. It’s a known fact that students and teenagers love to show off with what they have. Going to school casually will probably make them much happier then going with school uniforms. A girl student comes out from bed as soon as the alarm rings and begins to think what to wear, which will normally take minutes and minutes to decide. But dressing a uniform takes only five minutes to wear. It saves time. As a mother I do really know how it is hard to fight against wastefulness of a child in a world of consumption. Especially teenagers in schools love to follow fashion and try to espire the trendy products. If parents cannot teach their children to be content with what they got, it turns out to be a disaster. Just think about how much money should parent spend for their childrens clothing expenses. School uniforms are cheaper. It saves money.
