Should Peyton Farquhar be hanged? (AG) Truthfully, should Peyton Farquhar be executed? (A) Reason state that he should have been for many reasons, (B) because (C) he tried to blow up the owl creek bridge, (C) he knew it was wrong and that there are consequences to this action, (C) and it showed hate towards the country which symbolizes communist. Those are reasons why Peyton Farquhar should have been hung. One of the main topics about this story would be that Peyton Farquhar was told to blow up the owl creek bridge, as an act of will power, and communism. The person that told him to blow the bridge up was a spy, and ended up getting caught, and was to be hanged off the side of the bridge. During this whole process he goes back in time seeing events of his life making him regret his actions, and decisions. When he gets hanged of the bridge he immediately dies, but thinks he escaped reality. Knowingly he didn’t escape. One explainable reason Peyton Farquhar should have been hung was because he tried to attempt an act of terrorism, and communism against a country. Another reason was that he should have been hung is that he knew what he was doing, and he did wrong, and he knew he was a disarray (unit 5, page 63) about it. You notice it because right when he dies, he thinks he escaped. He thinks he gets to see his family again, and that’s a sign of guilt, and betrayal to his loved ones, and for the people that have been there for him. The main point of this story, and why, or why not Peyton Farquhar should have been hanged is he showed an act of hate toward the country, and it is very ignominy (unit 4, page 52) of him to do so. This is a main concern because if you’re in another country, and you do something to hurt it then why be in the country harming other lives over someone telling you to do something that would
