Should Paralympic and Olympic Athletes Compete Together

Should Paralympic athletes be able to compete alongside able-bodied athletes? I think that Paralympic athletes should not be able to compete against able bodied athletes. I think this because they could, if they had for example lost a leg, have a prosthetic leg made for them that works better than a normal human beings leg. This would put able bodied athletes at a disadvantage in the races. On the other hand if the Paralympic athletes were nearly blind and nothing could be done to enhance their sight they would be at a serious disadvantage compared to able bodied athletes. If there was a set of strict guidelines that determined what prosthetics Paralympic athletes could use and strict groupings a mix of able and non-able bodied athletes could work but it would be very hard and would need revisiting often due to advances in technology. Therefore I think it would be more practical to continue with the separation of able bodied and non-able bodied athletes. Some people might say that it is unfair for disabled people to be separated from everyone else but I believe that if they really believe that they should run a separate sporting event that accommodates all athletes together and then they will realise how hard it is to organise a massive event like the Olympics. In conclusion I think that the Paralympic and Olympic games should not be combined as it would not be fair on any of the athletes who are against others with better equitment to replace limbs or for example only seeing a quarter of the amount of stuff the others can
