What we are asking for is more background checks and more laws to make it harder for guns to end up in the wrong hands and the people that want to cause harm to others. One key item that studies have found that gun control laws affect the use of specific guns in violent crimes, but do not affect the crime rate itself. This is true to some extent, and what we want is mass shootings to end. This will not stop criminals and mentally ill people from buying guns on the streets. Yes, true but if we gun owners are responsible gun owner, and we do the right thing we can stop guns from reaching the streets.
I understand why he feels the need to take away the guns but it may not be the best option. There should be restrictions about who is able to own, buy, or operate a gun, but we also need guns to protect ourselves. Not everyone is trained how to safely use a gun. I do not believe having weapons is the real cause of what has been happening. So I think we need to address the real cause of why people act the way they do because it is people that kill people not the gun that kills
Why would a criminal follow gun control laws if he or she is already going to break the law to commit a crime? The gun control laws will be only hurting the law abiding citizens that enjoy using their gun rights for sport such as hunting. Gun control laws will be only taking away a form of protection that some people desperately need. Gun Control laws will only tear this country more apart and create more conflict between Democrats and Republicans. The United States Government needs to allow citizens to keep their rights and protection and live the way Americans have lived for the past two hundred
There will never be a world with no violence, but guns do there part to contain it. There are only bad things that can come from gun regulation; it can ruin American lives, it can take American lives, and it goes against what our founding fathers thought should be a long lasting American law. Guns have been around for hundreds of years and the technology will keep improving and the fugitives as well as the criminals will continue having guns no matter what kind of law is implemented. We might as well have the ability to protect ourselves and our families from them. As Adolf Hitler once said, "This year will go down in history.
The argument against gun control has many facets that are either illogical or contain a plethora of logical fallacies. One of such fallacy is the use of the Second Amendment. It has been misconstrued over the years to change what its original meaning was. The text of the second amendment is as follows: “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” The various proponents of anti gun-control, gun enthusiast and NRA alike, tend to cite this amendment as a safety net to all of their arguments. But this, like in most cases, is not a flawless argument.
He mention what is the president and public want from gun control laws even the public think all new government laws will not work to reduce the illegal used of gun. Essentially, making it easy for bad people to do things like that. Not only will gun laws make it less affordable to obtain guns but it will also make the whole process of get them a lot harder. See as of right now guns don't need to be registered you could simply go to a gun show or just over to your neighbor's house and buy a gun! Which is one thing this whole gun control thing might be helpful for, but at the same time it will make it a huge hassle to buy self defense or home defense buyers to get
Its true that a lot of criminal /violent activity involve guns, like robbery, assault, murder etc. and no one can deny that. That is why there is the gun control law. The main purpose of the gun control law is to control who are the people who can acquire guns, how much ammo they can use and to get rid off loopholes like the gun-show loophole, in the hope that the crime rate would go down and will help make things safer for everyone.
