With the rapid growth of the economy, people’s standard of living has been boosted a lot. At the same time, we begin to pay more and more attention to our mental and inner world. One of the best examples is that lots of people spend their spare time taking sightseeing tours. As far as I’m concerned, our university students should travel more if time permitted. First, traveling can give us a beautiful mood. Sometimes our undergraduate days can be boring and stressful, thus we need an exit. A new place will give us new feelings, especially in the mountains or on the beaches, for the power of nature can help us forget all the unhappiness and restore up strength for life. Besides, traveling can both enlarge our knowledge and enrich our experience. There is an old saying in China: “He that travels far knows much.” What we learned from our text book is only the tip of the iceberg, so Confucius chooses to travel through all the kingdoms to learn and educate others. Even the sage needs a journey, let alone us. Recently I heard a piece of news that a couple saved money for 9 years so that they took their little two children to travel around 12 countries in one year. Those girls are so lucky that they can experience a lot when they are young. Why we can’t? During our trip, we will solve some unexpected problems or gain some goodness of strangers, which can make us become much stronger and realize the human’s beauty.
