I understand medication being tested on animals but the cosmetic industry should not test on animals because its animal cruelty, the testing is not accurate, and there are other ways to test products. First reason they should not test on animals is because it’s animal cruelty. In America animal abuse is illegal. Testing on animals is abuse! Everyday millions of animals are locked in small cages giving them only enough room to turn around, and they have makeup put on them, and thousands die from it everyday.
The quality of the experiments was necessitous. In this study, Roberts (2007) states that, The anatomic, metabolic, and cellular differences between animals and people make animals poor models for human beings. Drugs that pass in animal test are not successful in human clinical tests. Animals as their matter are not germane to human health. Several can cause human diseases that can damage us instead of helping us.
Throughout that time these animals become so unadapt to their new surroundings, they become less likely to return to their natural state which gives those experimenting more reason to test them. Most of these senseless experiments are funding by the federal government using the public’s tax dollars and by health charities, which are wasting precious dollars on irrelevant experiments on animals instead of spending the money on promising human-based research (Peta). Norfleet 2 A few companies have banned the use of animal testing, but often the companies that continue to test animals produce inaccurate or misleading results. These results are giving the okay to more and more products being sold to you. Why continue to test animals that may give inaccurate results on products that can still be sold to the human race?
Vivi-section violates animal freedom. And since animals cannot volunteer themselves, they are chosen for scientific purposes with no voice in the matter whatsoever. If us humans go swimming we have to sign waivers but these poor animals are being signed up for torture, which will lead to their inevitable death with no say in the matter. Vivi-section is used for scientific purposes, for finding cures that benefit the human population, sure a few animals will be saved using these cures but in the end it’s the human population that benefits more from the deaths of these helpless animals.
Numerous of people look at animal research as dollar signs instead of realizing the heartache that is involved. Due to the millions of dollars made each year by companies it will be hard to end this devastation; but we must never give up. By taking actions and realizing that humans have gone too far with such a selfishness act is the first step to making it a safer world for animals. Every moment spent trying to end this cause is another step closer to saving the precious gift everyone is granted; the beauty of
Slaughterhouses were gruesome and extremely unethical in their approach to materialize animals. It seems as if animals were no longer living beings but rather objects that humans can reproduce and manipulate. I believe that many people in our society are anthropocentric because a lot of them are not exposed to what the food industries really do. The general public is often occupied with the idea that everything should revolve around improving ourselves. But not a lot of people pay attention to what happens behind the scenes.
Drug manufacturers test medications on animals after they have been injected with viruses and diseases to see if the medications work on the animals. There are many companies who use animal research to test their products; unfortunately these organizations do not look for alternatives besides animal testing. If these atrocious acts were committed outside laboratories, they would be felonies. But animals suffer and die every day in laboratories with little or no protection from cruelty. It is immoral to
They want to be safe when they are buying a new product, but how can you look at your pet after knowing what another animal has went through, just for a simple thing. Personally I am neither for nor against this whole animal testing. I believe that some aspects of testing on animals are indeed cruel and shouldn't be done, but testing on animals in the case of trying to find ways to cure and
Just because we have a higher intelligence, it doesn’t necessary mean we are better than other animals on the planet. I think that using animals for testing is a pointless exercise, as even though some animals may have similar anatomies to our own, they are not completely the same, and this means that even if you successfully tested a drug on an animal the results may not be the same for humans, for example, researchers have found a cure for cancer in mice, but it simply doesn’t work for humans. However, I do agree that drugs have to be tested, but only on things such a human tissue grown in a lab. I believe that this would be better as it will show what effect the drug in question would have on the human body and it is more humane than testing on animals. Also many of the things that are tested are cosmetics; this just shows how vain and selfish we humans are.
Many companies use animal trials to test out the safety of new drugs, pesticides, medication, food additives, packing materials, and anything else with chemical ingredients. Testing the toxicology of these substances would be impossible (at least ethically) to do, as it would be
