Christianity is a very religious group that follows their bible. The Judasim religion has a lot of different beliefs and religious celebrations. And in the Islamic religion the Qur'an is the highest authority. Out of the few similarities in these three religions, some of their biggest ones have to do with having their place of worship and similar symbols. Each one of these religions have their own religious celebrations.
Their beliefs are different in many ways. They don’t believe in medicine. They have many rituals that are controversial. The first topic I will be explaining to you about is the Hmong religion and how it is different to other religions. For Hmong women, they believe in the existence of vital forms embodying human beings, animals, objects such as rocks and places such as rivers, mountains, forests, etc.
When the phrase a “just action” comes to mind, we usually draw our understanding of it through our judicial system, religious figures, political leaders, scientific studies, and personal beliefs. The basis of deeming certain actions or behaviors as justified have changed many times during our species existence. Morality was a stronger influence on determining whether or not something was marked as being justified. However, religion today is not an adequate reference to determine what behaviors or ideas are considered “just action”.

This was a bit of a shock to be, but I was not really sure what the Mormon religion was all about. After some research, I discovered exactly what the Mormon religion was all about. It is a polygamist religion that believes that the Bible is true, but incomplete. However, after doing a little more research into the topic, I discovered a list of some of, what seem to me to be, bizarre beliefs along the religious front that Mormons follow.
Sam Harris discusses religious moderates and their dogmatic views in his article “The First Ten Pages.” Harris argues that they are the “instability” in our society because moderates believe in something without having factual evidence to prove it. Moderates demonstrate a lack of knowledge for their own religion and continue believing in a 2000 year old

The United States of America has endless complexities when it comes to it’s national identity. Despite the fact that we like to think of our country to be driven by freedom and religion, there are many aspects of our national identity that contradict what we stand for as a nation. Immigration and education are two very contradictory aspects of national identity that some feel are a great threat to this country. Immigration is one issue that some can effectively argue is an aspect of national identity that can be of great concern to America. Hannah Gowans 10/1/12 232-03 Ms. Murphy Religious Freedom in the United States Throughout the history of the world, religion has been one of the most controversial topics for humanity. Although religions are meant to bring people together, disagreements over which religion to practice often tears people apart instead. Although almost every major religion preaches the importance of peace, countless wars have been started over religion. Due to this, many leaders eventually started realizing that religious toleration was
One of the most common critical issues within a religion is their scriptures. According to Molloy and Hilgers (2010) “Sometimes the texts of the scriptures were incomplete, or the translations that scholars might need to depend on were not accurate.” Incomplete text means that there is room for error within the translation and in most cases; the scriptures could in fact translate to something different, leaving too much room for interpretation depending on the scholar translating it and the people reading it. Molloy and Hilgers (2010) also mention, “Another large area of concern involved the study of religions that did not have written scriptures but had only oral traditions.” This leaves room for too many questions and again, a large margin for interpretations. The lack of resources in the early years meant that scholars did not count with historical accuracy to reference as far as translating some of these
