Short Trip In the North Georgia Mountains’ around Fall time of the year is a beautiful place to rent a cabin. My husband and I spent a weekend in Helen Georgia last fall and we had an incredible time with all of the different activities and stunning sights. Just before Halloween the leaves start to change colors and the weather starts to get cooler. This tourist town is very popular year round, also, always has a remarkable home away from home waiting on the next guest. Our first stop was, “our home away from home”. We rented a two bed room cabin named Timber Top. It was exactly everything we were looking for in a cabin. The driveway was a windy steep hill lined with every shade of autumn dye. When we reached the cabin it was surrounded by these glorious bright colors. Inside our weekend home we found a pool table, hot tub, and everything one could need for just a short trip. After unloading the few bags we brought with us, we decided to head into the heart of Helen to start setting a plan of events for our trip. Just as we pulled into town, people were everywhere. At this time it was getting late in the evening and the aroma of fresh food filled the air. Starving from the long drive we set our thoughts on dinner. We came cross a rib shack overlooking the river where tourist and locals float down on rafting tubs. Greeted by smiles, we ordered our food and took a set in the dining area which happen to be picnic tables with every view of the sparkling river. The ribs were so tinder they feel off the bone. Belly’s full and plan in mind we headed back to the cabin for the night. The next morning back to town we went. Stopping in every little side shop that looked inviting to us we found souvenirs for the kids and family. We did not go on the horse and buggy ride that was afford. It would have been nice, but was not in our plan for this trip. Instead we spent the
