Purpose: To provide evidence of your learning in producing critical written response to texts. You will have to
make connections between two texts and also consider how they relate to each other, to the context in which they are generated, and to the context in which they are read or viewed. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the way that authors use language to create meaning for their readers.
Description of the assessment: The assessment task information sheet includes a range of topics from which you must choose one. You must plan your response carefully and discuss a draft with your teacher before handing in the polished draft.
Assessment conditions: A planned , scaffolded and polished written task to be completed in class and at home.
