Case Study Sharp Printing AG Made by Aleksandrs Draniks (M00270997) Module leader: Kirit Patel Overview Lauren was selected to be the project manager of a project of implementing a colour laser printer for consumer and business market at a reasonable price. It would be important to use some strategy so all the head managers to clarify their goals to achieve. I would use Priority matrix. It is simple, and it is one of cases than simple is the best. So everybody would know what to do next. | Time | Performance | Cost | Constrains | X | | | Enhance | | X | | Accept | | | X | As was mentioned before time is one of the most important things for us as printer is technological product. Performance is important as well. As we trying to produce technological product we need to make it in terms of value for money. Our product is not so expensive so quality should be good, but not the best. It should be reasonable. Cost is very important as we dealing with the process than our cost already increased to $ 1,250,000. Attempts were made to cut the cost, but they had made small impact, so we need to consider this cost as time is crucial for us. After all I would have discussion about the matrix and all my plans. In discussion we need to speak about outsourcing technology as it can reduce our costs. Next I would go for one of micro approaches “detailed estimates for the WBS work packages”. -Since this has significant uncertainty associated with the time, this requires three times estimations by three estimators. -This will assess the risk associated
