This is significant factor because military prowess led to the growth of Islam and made it an important figure in history. Islamic society was based on the ideals of ‘submission,’ which is what Islam translates to. People were united under both religion and society ideals. This rapid expansion of the Islamic Empire is definitely due to the strong moral unification of the Islamic people. In addition, religion formed strong spiritual bonds among the people as well (Craig 297).
Organisations like Caritas and St Vincent De Paul have realised that to be a good Christian, Muslim, or Jewish person you must also help others and not expect anything in return. “One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, And He will repay him for his good deed”. In conclusion, Australia has freedom today because of the guidance and influence that religion has had on our society and individuals. It has taught us to seek purpose in life, gives us comfort, gives answers to the unexpected and provides the framework for a person’s life. Therefore, I compel you to continue your support of religions in Australia, as they have contributed gallantly to society and individuals and have compelled us to “ihsan” (realise) “amen” (believe), “amal” (hope) and “tfgl” (act) in the right and just
Paragraph 8 How does Hassan’s great ability to forgive allow him to lead a full life? Hassan was able to lead a fulfilling life due to his great ability of forgiving others and continuing to strive forward without the past catching up to him. There are many ways this is shown throughout the text and it is Amir who Hassan is always forgiving that really shows how strong of a heart Hassan has and his amazing ability to forgive. This is shown when Amir quotes “This was Hassan’s final sacrifice for me.” This quote demonstrates exactly why Hassan was able to fulfil his life; because he was able to forgive and make amends with others surrounding him. Another way this is shown is when he allows his mother who he had not seen “….since she had eloped with a band of singers and dancers in 1964”.
But the Savior taught that true freedom comes only from following Him: “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31–32). God gives commandments for our benefit. They are loving instructions for our happiness and for our physical and spiritual well
In East of Eden by John Steinbeck, Lee tells Cal that he has a choice to either remain a good-hearted boy or he can act maliciously like his mother, Cathy. Cal doesn’t need to grow up and be like Cathy just because her blood runs through his veins, but he can if he wanted to. Good and evil surround us no matter where we go. We meet people that are good for us and people that are bad for us, meaning that there are those that help us prosper and those that
Tolerance is what allows us to live in harmony in a country with people of different religions, who support other political tendencies, which have a different sexual condition, etc. In addition to the quote, "live and let live”, the tolerance that should be promoted is one that is active and leads to solidarity. The active tolerance should be seen as the interest in understanding others, and help them pursue their life projects without receiving anything in return. In order to live in a better world, our mission is to help promote tolerance in ourselves, in our families, in schools, in the workplace, and in the
Need for possession is knowledge. Knowledge has its purpose to aim at good. External good, need for possession to wealth, and other goods for the body and soul. Men pursue honor in order to assure their goodness and wisdom that they seek to be honor and believe that virtue is better. Being able to provide for your own without any help from anyone is self-sufficient is a possession that people want to have
Amir knows he missed the chance to make things right with Hassan, but it’s not to late with his son Sohrab. By confessing Baba’s sin and giving Sohrab an identity, Amir had begun to atone for his childhood
