Shanghai Noon is an American martial arts action comedy western movie. The names of the main actors and the characters are Jackie Chan (Chon Wang) and Owen Wilson (Roy O’Bannon). The movie is set in China and Nevada of the U.S.A and it takes place in 19th century. It involves two people of different personalities and ethnicities (a Chinese imperial guard and a Western outlaw) who team up to stop a crime. Princess Pei-Pei is abducted and taken from the Forbidden City to Nevada of the United States. The emperor of China sends three of his guards to retrieve her. Chon is not among one of the three, but after he tells them that it was his fault the princess was kidnapped, he is chosen a person in charge of baggage. A criminal requests the gold as ransom, and decides a hostage exchange in Carson city, Nevada, U.S.A. A party goes to carry the ransom, but encounters a train robbery. Although Chon strays from the party, he meets the boss of robbery is buried in the desert he is abandoned the group, Roy O’Bannon. Two people eventually hit it off and they cooperatively try to rescue Princess Pei-Pei. In the end, the princess is rescued them. The critics said it was good. It got 4 stars reviews. This is one good comedy that is lots of fun from start to finish. I recommend this movie to all of people from child to senior. I wasn't expecting anything good out of this movie, but he surprises me, and he showed a good funny performance on Shanghai Noon. This movie has a better cast, better director and better story. Also the comedy is better. This movie is actually funny. I thought that Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan had really good chemistry on screen. Shanghai Noon is great fun from start to
