Not So SuperBad Sweetly absurd, Crude and awkward, Superbad is almost a typical teen movie, reminding me a bit of the American Pie films because of the simple plot and juvenile humour. However, compared to other teen movies the film is much more intelligently written than others of its genre, and this shines through in the characters. Superbad follows three high school seniors as they go on a long night of self-discovery, ending in drunken declarations of love between best friends with unrealistic yet entertaining events happening in between. The over weight Seth, played by Jonah Hill (Knocked Up) is foul-mouthed and impulsive, Evan, his best friend, played by Michael Cera is a more gentle and shy, almost to the point of being invisible,
It begins with the U.S. embassy in Iran, where many Iranians are trying to break in and kill or capture U.S. employees. They wanted prisoners to hold in exchange for the old shah of Iran, who is now in the United States seeking refugee. After the rioters break into the embassy, six Americans are able to escape and hide out with the Canadian ambassador who has a house there. Learning of this C.I.A agent Tony Mendez, played by Ben Affleck, helps plan a secret operation. The idea thought up by Mendez is to pretend to be Canadian movie executives looking for exotic places to shoot a space movie named “Argo”, hence the title of the actual movie.
There are some jokes such as explaining "Sandy" is a unisex name that is used too much as if it will become funny at one point but never really breaks through. The story line sticks through the movie and contains some twists that were suprising and entertaining. The settings were very good and had variety because try were trying to get from Florida to Colorado. Overall it was a pretty entertaining movie and I enjoyed it. Out of 4 stars this movie would get a 3 for me, giving a funny, enjoyable
Gattaca was the best in terms of entertainment. It always kept me thinking about what is going to happen next. It had many twist in the plot that surprised me. The technology that was shown in the movie was very interesting to. Also, I enjoyed the entertainment from the character in the movie, Eugene, who a handicap that was virtually perfect.
US Marshals The movie US Marshals written by Kenneth Chisholm, holds a lot of criminal activity pertaining to rogue cops and framed murderers. The movie starts when a prisoner transport plane carrying Deputy Sam Gerard, and as a police escort crashes, one prisoner, Mark Sheridan helps him rescue some trapped prisoners and then escapes himself. Soon after Gerard and his team begin pursuing Sheridan while he searches for the truth behind his incrimination. Gerard abruptly finds out that Sheridan is no mere criminal and begins to get more and more suspicious about what lies ahead of him. At the end of the movie Gerard put his evidence together and learns that Sheridan is an ex CIA operative accused of selling secrets to China.
But the movie of The Big Sleep is still a success and, well, a good movie, just because they changed the plot and the characters. One The Big Sleep is appropriate for the audience of books, the other for the audience of
This is then all thrown out of the window if my spouse is pleading with me to watch something else. There are many things that make a film enjoyable. I am pretty easy when it comes to finding the good in most movies. I can love a movie just because it has that one scene or that one character that makes me laugh. I think that anything from a good plot to a great chemistry on camera makes a movie enjoyable to me.
Shortly after, Vincent and Jules go to a café which while they are there gets robbed by two petty crooks while previously employing the passage as a means for delivering death, after the advent of his conversion Jules reinterprets the passage and discovers the truth about his past existence. For the first time, Jules realizes the value of human life, and his own ability to keep it. "The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men," he tells the thieves. "But I'm tryin'.
I personally thought the film “The Secret Garden” was great although they could have made it a little more exciting and less boring. A beautiful scene in the film was when Colin Craven the weak little boy actually started to walk with the help of new friends. I would recommend this film to people of all ages and people who like adventure. “Ice Age” is a very funny movie but the opposite to the film the “Secret Garden” because the Secret Garden is about adventure although it does have something in common like
