The different ways men and women communicate has been a problem throughout time. This difference in communication style has created conflict in romantic realationships, marriages, and even friendship. To think of a world where men and women communicate on the same level is almost impossible to comprehend. We have been conditioned to believe that men and women will never see on an eye-to-eye basis. And my understanding I think there is going to be a change in the way communication is conducted. This change may even arise in my own lifetime. Studies has shown that women are superior to men in verbal ability and men are better at visual/spatial ability. Men and women talk on a different levels and often misunderstands each other because of it. The question is do men and women conversation reflect the same views? Can we ever really communicate? These questions are not new, since the early 1990s there has been a big issue or new surge of interest. “This essay will discuss the following: ( 1) How Deborah Tannen view men and women conversation, (2) The effect that result from these different types of communication, (3) My personal opinion, (4) suggestions on how to respect one another opinion.
