PFCH would greatly benefit from the use of an ERP system developed for hospitals, such as McKesson ERP Solutions. Systems such as these, which are developed specifically for medical professionals, enable hospital workers to easily access, update, and distribute patient information. ERP systems take the data from all other applications and manages that data, resulting in a streamlined, easy to understand overview, known oftentimes as the dashboard. More detailed information is just as easily accessed by the system and displayed in a series of charts and graphs, as well as other tools used to assist healthcare providers in the diagnoses and treatment of patients. Some of the advantages that Stonybrook’s medical center has over the other three facilities are the financial resources, the staffing of doctors, nurses, specialists and other necessary hospital personnel who cater to the needs of the community of which it serves. One of the weaknesses that Stonybrook has is that the majority of the staff is only fluent in speaking the English language. Many of the patients who seek treatment from the facility speak various languages, such as Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, Polish, Russian, Creole, and other languages. Even though there is the language barrier among staff and patients at Stonybrook, this is also true for the other three healthcare facilities in the area.
I feel that the Pearland Health Center tends to provide the best care under intense circumstances. There are quite a bit of emergency facilities that do not the experience, expertise, equipment, and professional tolerance as do the Pearland Health Center. Usually, other facilities, in intense cases, will just ship a client off to the nearest major hospital in which may be an inconvenience to the client and their loved ones. For example, an emergency facility in Pearland only deals with minor issues, so if a case is major not only will they ship them off to the nearest major hospital but the hospital may be thirty to forty minutes away. I have to say that the Pearland Health Center will at least try to fix the issue before suggesting other
