Senegal, Today and Tomorrow As a very under-developed country, Senegal maintains issues in key demographic factors. The life expectancy, birth rate, and many other traits of Senegal impose a threat to the country overall. Different strategies and policies may be applied to create a more positive future for Senegal, however, this country will need to take juristic measures to do so. Along with most under-developed countries, Senegal has major problems when it comes to life expectancy, age dependency, and birth rate or population growth. The life expectancy in Senegal is 57 years for men and 59 years for women as opposed to 68 for men and 72 for women worldwide. Senegal is a very under-developed country and, with that, comes a lack of medical practice, sanitation, police protection, and many other factors causing early death.
