Self-Ethno archeology When comparing present day material use towards the past before they had the resources and technology that is convenient to us all the time, which that shows us how we take most of our everyday materials for granted when looking on the way its obtained in the past. Everyday there are a wide range of materials used on a daily basis from when I wake up to when I got to bed. Thinking about my high amounts of material uses daily, after living this way all my life it would be very hard to not have most of the materials I require in order for my life to take place. From the start of my day I am already using many supplies for me to wake up. At the beginning of my day I am using wooden supports for my bed, a mattress, two pillows, and my phone and phone charger in order for me to wake up in the morning. And that’s just the first couple minutes of my day. I always require a shower that involves many instruments, a towel, soap, the supply of water, and the shower itself. Sometimes early in the morning I have swim practice, which there is a necessity of many tools that is used in order for that practice to even take place. I have to rely on many implements in order to transport my self to the place of practice. Once at practice I require everything that the maverick center offers as the locker rooms, the pool and have plenty more materials that I need just so I can swim and be able to practice with the team. All of the many materials uses that I listed are just before noon. In order to move through life smoothly, a lot of things just to get my day started. After reading John Yellen’s article “Cultural Patterning in Faunal Remains” it made me realize that our material use in the present day is a heavy load compared the past. The first thing that I noticed when reading the article, is how none of their material use is expected to be to always be on
