This relationship can be even be more important, especially if the client doesn't have any family or friends. Because most clients seems to have lost a sense of value within themselves, having someone perceive them as a valuable person, capable of personal growth, should have an encouraging affect. How caregivers respond to the tension of the bipolar relationship is an individual decision based on personality, expectations of the relationship, and self assessment. When people with bipolar have support from family and friends, they tend to recover quicker, have milder symptoms, and experience fewer manic and depressive episodes. Unfortunately, many caregivers have difficulty providing this much needed support because they are not sure how to cope with themselves. And let’s face it- not being able to cope also interferes with the caregivers ability to lead a normal, happy life as
We sometimes seem wired to adopt the goals of the people around us, particularly when we develop a close relationship with them. Of course, that can be a positive or negative thing depending on what the people around us are doing. For that reason, we have to be careful to surround ourselves with other people who are engaging in behaviours that we would like to see in ourselves. If one is unable to feel adequate enough within a group or is not fully comfortable with themselves, there is a chance one may conform in order to fit in. ‘The more insecure people feel, the more conformist they become.’- John Elder.

Some norms are healthy and some are not necessary. Some contribute to the betterment of individuals, families, and communities; others can breed prejudice and prejudgment. Cultural norms often are so strongly rooted in an individual's daily life that they may not be aware of certain behaviors. The MBTI introverted personality type says that introvert type does not get energy from outside. It means an introverted person develops good energy from themselves. Nowadays, many people wish to become a good leader, but many have the preconception that an extroverted personality is required to become good leaders. Moreover they believe introverts have disadvantages in our social activities. To begin, simply stating that person perception is more complex than object perception solely based on the inclusion of emotional factors does not do the thought justice. It is vital to comprehend just what factors of emotion and behavior are present in order to understand to what extent they influence the perception. For instance, Kenny discusses the importance of stability in the distinction between object and person perception. Simply stated, "an individual's behavior changes when he or she is with different interaction partners," (18). In essence this means that a person's perception of another person tends to be more stable and involved based on our instinctual analysis of a person's behavior.

People with high self-esteem are also people who are motivated to take care of themselves and to persistently strive towards the fulfillment of personal goals and aspirations. People with lower self-esteem don't tend to regard themselves as worthy of happy outcomes or capable of achieving them and so tend to let important things slide and to be less persistent and resilient in terms of overcoming adversity. They may have the same kinds of goals as people with higher self-esteem, but they are generally less motivated to pursue them to their conclusion. Self-esteem is a somewhat abstract concept; it's hard for someone who doesn't already have it to know what it would be like to have it.
