There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. This doctrine set forth by the Dalai Lama would see the people govern themselves and hold their own relationship with their belief, both a profound and progressive view on religion; however, for many it’s an unconventional view. Religion comes in many different forms, and there are those who are loyal followers and those that are extrmeists.

These codes were made with the purpose of attaching the so called “human laws” as close to “heaven laws” as possible no matter which civilization or which religion. Therefore, I want to show the attachment of the political and religious interpretation of the laws by examining the Hammurabi codes and Justinian codes and using the common phenomena method. Barack Obama uses patriotism, faith, and religion to evoke passion and inspiration in the audience to show that the United States of America is not just a liberal country or not just a conservative country, but that the United States of America is one country, united. No matter the differences, the citizens of America are all connected. Obama suggests that
The Pledge of Allegiance was not written to coerce citizens of the United States. Its purpose was to create a statement of patriotism. Through its words, it states each American citizen’s respect for the republican form of government our Founders instilled, and loyalty to America, a country that is “indivisible.” While the separation of church and state is a key institute in maintaining a fair democratic government, certain traditions such as the Pledge of Allegiance, should be allowed in a society founded on the belief in monotheism. The Pledge was not written to defy the Constitution; rather, it was a statement of secular belief in our nation. Its author had no intention of violating the First Amendment.
Hinduism Paper Hinduism Paper Jennifer Simpson HUM/130 Religions of the World Byrl Shaver University of Phoenix 06/02/2013 The term Hinduism is incorrect it is more like an overall term for foreigners that do not have an understanding of their beliefs. The correct term for the collection of beliefs is Sanatana Dharma. There are uniting beliefs within all the different practices. The goals regardless of rituals or worshiping different Gods they all want Eternal truth, peace, complete understanding, and acceptance. They do share morals and ethics and the ability to allow others to worship as they like.
Based on the constitutional arguments for both cases, I agree with the rulings of each court. I believe marriage is a fundamental civil right afforded to all free persons based on the Constitution, and that right should not be taken away simply because the government doesn’t agree with who you choose to marry. I strongly agree with Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall, who in Goodridge wrote, “[t]he exclusive commitment of two individuals to each other nurtures love and mutual support; it brings stability to our society. For those who choose to marry, and for their children, marriage provides an abundance of legal, financial, and social benefits. In turn it imposes weighty legal, financial, and social obligations."
The principles are known as freedom of religion and separation of church and state. The first clause of the amendment is known as the establishment clause, and the second is known as the free exercise clause. I believe freedom of religion is necessary in order for a democracy to function. People need to be able to exercise the basic right to have beliefs and ideologies. I think it is the First Amendment for a reason, because it is extremely important.
For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here (Thinking).” Here, Patrick Henry went against the very first Amendment to the Constitution, which asserts, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…(Bill of Rights)” In saying that the United States was indeed founded on the religious practices and morals of Christian life, Henry stood for everything that all the Founding Fathers believed as a whole. Several people would agree with him, saying that the only reason religious freedom is allowed is because those who originally governed the U.S. were good Christian men, and therefore welcomed with open arms any of those who fled to America in pursuit of liberty of religious persecution
The ideas discussed in the Declaration are identical to the ones still practiced in society today. Because the document's very nature allows its meaning to change with time and circumstances, the Declaration of Independence remains a very relevant statement of America's interests and principles. As a student at a Catholic school, I take the values of my faith very seriously. One of the most important statements made in the Declaration directly recognizes the presence of God in American society. "...that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness..." The framers of the Constitution formally indicate the importance of God-given values in the lives of every citizen in America.
