Scout, Atticus, and Boo is a very enlightening book that shares opinions, ideas, and overall feeling of the Harper Lee novel To Kill A Mockingbird. The collection of readers, writers, actors and actresses, television personalities, and other critics show a wide range of how the book was a part of each and everyone of their lives. To Kill a Mockingbird leaves an impact on anyone who has opened the pages and started the journey with Scout Finch leading the way. It is timeless and world famous, the book made a huge impact on the 1960's and continues to resurface into parts of our everyday lives. My favorite interview of the entire book was probably the Mary Badham interview. It was very interesting to hear what the process was of making the book into a classic film. She was the perfect actress for the role of Scout she herself was spunky, independent, tomboy, and a real southern girl. It was very important for them to find someone who was born in the south for it to all come very naturally to her. Mary Badham was later nominated for best supporting actress but lost it to Patty Duke, the actress who played Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. Mary stayed in contact with Gregory Peck for the rest of his life and considered him close to her like a father. For me the most eye opening of the interviews was Diane Mcwhorther's. Diane said her first time seeing the movie was a terrible experience. She knew of the controversy of the story when she went but she forced herself to fight back the tears when Tom Robinson was shot. The was feeling the conflict from what she was raised to believe and what she knew was right. The story is so powerful in that way of showing the lack of justice in the 1930's. She wondered what her father would think
