Chapter 3.1  Measurement: a quantity that has both a number and a unit.  Scientific Notation: a coefficient and 10 raised to a power. The coefficient must always be greater to or equal to one and less than ten.  Accuracy: measure of how close a measurement comes to the actual value of whatever is measured.  Precision: measure of how close a series of measurements are to one another.
