School Rules - Beneficial?

Rules? Are they always beneficial? While rules are supposed to benefit people, some rules make matters more complicated. Most school systems do a pretty good job at not making up or using these types of rules or regulations. However, every now and then the school system does consist of some rules that can be a problem. For example, the rule I detest is the rule that states we have to wear pure white shoes. I don't totally agree with this rule because it is not fair to the students. If a student has a highly-arched foot or is flat-footed, they should be allowed to wear special shoes that fit their feet to make walking or running more comfortable for them. Unfortunately, these kind of shoes often do not come in white. I for one, have a personal experience of foot aches after every school day because I am flat-footed myself. Many white shoes I have tried on, have resulted in the same ending – painful feet. I have broken my left foot too, adding to the pain. Thus, wearing of customized, coloured shoes should be allowed. I find that the rule is very inconvenient too. If a sportsman has a Co-Corricular Activity that requires him to wear special sports shoes, he will have to bring an extra pair of shoes in a shoebag, that costs money, just because he has to wear white shoes during the school hours. This will add on to the already heavy burden of a bag full of books and files. Hence, they should be allowed to wear the sports shoes right when they come to school. I think by abolishing this rule, more students will have an easier routine when coming to school. They will find it simplier and more comfortable wearing shoes they like, instead of the usual, dull and boring white shoes. Other rules like perfect attendance and prohibition of music players or MP3s should also be reconsidered into and be readjusted. Hopefully, unreasonable rules like these will be attended to
