The info I found on Trevor's Relentless boots uses the "testimonial" method of advertising. They try to convince the buyer that the product meets all of a "celebrities" standards, therefore it is good enough for the buyer. TESTIMONIAL A famous personality is used to endorse the product e.g. a famous basketball player (Michael Jordan) recommends a particular brand of skates. from the ad: Those who know Trevor know that he is a discerning horseman, with very meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering pursuit of perfection. The Relentless line of products lives up to his high standards in quality, style and durability. I would say they also combine the use of Facts and Figures in some of their ads for the boots as well. FACTS AND FIGURES Statistics and objective factual information is used to prove the superiority of the product e.g. a car manufacturer quotes the amount of time it takes their car to get from 0 to 100 k.p.h. from the ad: The All-Around Sport Boots are the pinnacle of protection and have a streamlined fit that contours to the cannon bone and fetlock while preventing the build-up of dirt and debris between the boot and the horse. The base of the boot is cut higher and matches the natural curve of the horse's lower leg, allowing full flex and extension without interference from the boot. They try to convince the buyer
