SATAN I chose the topic of Satan, because he’s a symbol that represents many things. Satan is an arrogant, powerful character competing against God. Our world has many views of different types of religions and people are judged based on what they believe however Satanism is a religion and culture that people view as a mirror effect of Satan. Satan is not a person I learned. Satan is a religion that some humans practice because of mixed emotions. Satanism is not a Christian invention. What I found interesting is that In Levayan Satanism represents free will. Satan represents freedom of choice to engage in any and all activities that do not harm others. And because such freedoms are generally embraced as positive, Satan represents a positive, benevolent and non-judgmental God figure. Satanists view the Christian God figure as an evil entity because of horrific acts performed in the bible, such as the massacre of all mankind. Satanists who actually believe in Satan as an actual being think of him as a freedom fighter that rebelled against the tyranny of Jehovah. Satanism more or less translates to humanism, the idea that humans should be free to follow their instincts and enjoy themselves without guilt. Christianity considers Satan evil, but they also tend to associate him with a variety of things that Satanist embraces, such as pleasure, sexuality and rebellion on living freely. Satanism is no about death, true Satanism is about elevating and empowering humanity to reach equality with the gods. Doing my autobiography on Satan, taught me many things about him. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual dreams.
