Proposal to Recruit I. Executive Summary The Caminetto Restaurant aims to provide the best customer service possible to its restaurant patrons, and one its objectives is to serve the orders of the customers within a certain reasonable period since they were made. Recent increase in sales volume stressed the workforce of the kitchen and this led to delay in service and chaos in the kitchen. To resolve this issue, a position of an executive chef needs to be created to supplement the current workforce and thus achieve the objective of maintaining the optimum condition of the kitchen and serving orders as quickly as possible. II. Identification of Needs The kitchen workforce of The Caminetto Restaurant has been maintained since the volume of customers was only a half of the current figure. Though this increase of customer volume is welcomed, it has also posed problems to the business specially the kitchen section. Orders are no longer served as quickly as before and customer complaints have spiked because of these delays. The Kitchen Manager complained that it’s virtually impossible for him to manage the kitchen and the staff condition. III. Proposed Services It is proposed that a new full-time position of Executive Chef be created to maintain the optimum condition of the kitchen. The Executive Chef is responsible for maintaining the optimum condition of the kitchen and ensuring swift and efficient delivery of customer orders. IV. Costs Per Restaurant Industry Award 2010, the base rate of pay (hourly) of a full-time Executive Chef is $21.43 per hour. At 40 hours per week, the cost per week is $857.20. At the same rate, the annual cost is $58,150.80 plus superannuation contribution of 9.5% and leave loading of 17.5%. V.
