Worldview Application Assignment Abortion Introduction The topic I choose to talk about is abortion. This issue has always been closer to my heart because my church back in Roanoke, Virginia has always helped out at the Blue Ridge Women’s Pregnancy center. The stories that I have heard from girls are so sad, but I am so glad that they have place that they can turn to for help. The moral argument is that I have learned and believed my entire life is that life starts at conception; this is true and is proven in the Bible. So, the Biblical stance on abortion is Pro-Life, and the opposite is Pro-Choice.
It gives you the many examples of why abortion would seem as a benificial choice. While showing some flaws in believing in some texts from the bible without studying it first. One example it brings up is how it would not be considered murder of a child, if the child was still not fully developed, is accidentally aborted without killing the mother in the process (as stated is some bible pretexts). It also brings up is the inequality between men and women; and the tolerance between the women who choose to abolish
They believed that abortions were okay even though they knew they were being put in situations in which there was a possibility of them having multiple fetuses. The way the parents in the stories dealt with their conflict were by the style of problem solving. The parents felt by eliminating the baby, they would be eliminating any future problems. The topic of abortions is very controversial, some people believe they are acceptable while others think it is purely evil and wrong. I am on the fence about abortions.
Saint Gianna Beretta Molla A Woman’s Life "The secret of happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for all that He, in His goodness, sends to us day after day." Once said a young woman who had the rest of her life to live, but chose to sacrifice her life for her unborn child. Her name was Gianna Beretta Molla, and was only 39 years old when her life was taken. Gianna was a woman strong in faith who always followed Jesus’ teachings. She knew abortion fell under the 5th Commandment, thou shall not kill, and she knew that if she did not perform this action, her life would be taken.
There were many problems with war in biblical times, but now is when people seem to bring them up. First, we have a problem of God. In the Old Testament war was excepted because the main image people knew what God as a warrior. But when shifting into the New Testament we see God as a loving person. Today, when people talk about God they say how amazing He is, and how loving and caring He is; but what about the God that can be angry?
People who support Pro-Life argue that even though the foetus is still inside the mother it still has rights. They believe live begins at conception therefore abortion is murder. Also doctors and nurses jobs are to save life not to end it. Also religious people believe that every child is a precious gift from god and people have no right to destroy it. Children with physical or learning disabilities can also lead full and rewarding lives, aborting people because of disability is like telling disabled people that they are worthless.
Since God gave us all a right to have and make moral choices concerning how we live, eat, sleep and reproduce why their so much controversy is over abortion? Simple, have the right to choose to give life. To provide life is not like taking out the garbage because your mother simply asked you to. Giving life is not like a chore you can do or not if you feel. This is a human that you are responsible for, a person that will rely on you to be able to provide, teach, and nurture them for the rest of their lives.
However, for every unique situation, you have to determine whether or not it is the right choice for each case. It is not always an easy choice to make. Nor will it ever be something you will totally come to complete solitude with. But when the time comes, the choice will have to be made. Once I read Susan Wolf’s writing about her father’s last days and the choices they had to make with him, I do completely agree that physician assisted suicide was the correct choice for their situation.
It belongs to the natural moral law which is written on every human heart and which the Catholic Church obviously also teaches: that natural moral law which is so wonderfully illumined for us by Our Lord Jesus Christ by His saving teaching, but most of all by His Passion and death.” In relation to Pelosi’s statement I was able to come across anonymous writers who disagreed and responded to political leaders that were supporters of “pro-life.” Pro-abortion politicians once acknowledged “I respect your views, but I have to represent all the people,” In response, they answered, “That’s what we’re trying to say to you. If you neglect the unborn, you are not representing all the people. Roe vs. Wade excludes them from protection; we demand that they be included. A public servant cannot legitimately ignore an entire segment of the public that is being
