Treasure Neal Many of today’s drivers have dangerous habits. People now days don’t take to mind the dangers that face them every day when they decide to take a ride to the store or a football game. Little things that we think are harmless like eating and drinking while driving never come into mind what could happen if someone is trying to eat a burger while riding home, then out of nowhere an innocent bystander is hit because of someone’s cautions acts while driving. Not enough people follow traffic laws and road rules and because of that. There is a 16% death rate due to distractions on the road and negligence. For those running late to that early morning meeting or work and even school all have one thing in common. When you’re running late the only thing you’re thinking about is at least making it to the car, once that’s completed the grooming process starts when the driver hits the road, a lot of young men and women suffer from taking this risk. Nearly 41 percent of drivers say they've fallen asleep behind the wheel at some point or another, according to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety. The NHTSA estimates drowsy driving in the United States causes 100,000 crashes a year, resulting in 40,000 injuries and 1,550 deaths. Studies suggest that talking on a cell phone roughly quadruples a person's risk of being involved in a crash. Organizations such as” Speak Up or Else” It’s pretty simple, really... if you're riding with friends and you don't feel safe, you need to speak up. Why speak up? Because reckless driving is the #1 killer of 15-20 year olds. Speaking up could save your life. Also another helpful organization is “MADD” The mission of Mothers against Drunk Driving is to stop drunk driving, support the the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking “Stop the Texts. Stop The Wrecks.” Nearly 500,000 young adults
