Why did I enroll in JROTC? I always seek places for improvement. I thought that JROTC would help me to find ways to improve on my weaknesses and help me to strengthen my strengths even more. JROTC main mission is to “motivate young people to become better citizens”, and I want to be a part of those young people. This program also builds leaders.
The walls will have art work that will speak to each person who comes into the facility. The walls will have words of inspiration and motivation for whatever sport a student is interested in. When I grow up I plan on giving back to AHS, but right now I plan on working with my dad and 3grandfather on finding ways to either repaint and repair the lockers so that when the freshmen team moves up they will have some pride in the locker room and not trash it as so many others before us 7have. The locker room needs to be open and the walls should not be falling down, so if we can put our minds together now and in the future, we can make this place a place where we want to go and not just have to go. This will be a lot of work and community service is very important to me because I believe we have a responsibility to provide support to their community however they can, big or small, it all
The juvenile minds will not only learn about other cultures, but will also get closer to their own culture. They will start developing an affection for their own culture, when they will compare and see the differences. Furthermore, human beings are always in search of better opportunities. Studying diverse cultures from a very early age, can help the upcoming youth in developing a better common culture, one that contains many different trends
4.2 Evaluate personal levels of self-discipline for entry to the uniformed public services. Discipline is vital to the Public services; in my opinion I agree that there should be discipline because of my experience of what I have been doing in lessons. In our class we have been doing events to demonstrate self-discipline, my group was the first group to go, we got the class to do a circuit on putting on clothes with a tennis ball in there hand and cone on their head, if the person dropped any of the equipment or even mess about they would have to re-do the whole course, this would show that the person doing the event would have to concentrate and preform the right skills to complete the event. The aim was for one team to finish first and
In order to improve our strength and endurance we decided to try rock climbing. Not only does it require a significant amount of muscle, but also it is enjoyable and challenging. Our first goal was to take baby steps to achieving our goal, first meeting once a month, then continuing to increase our activity to once a week. We hoped that the more frequently we went and with the support and encouragement of our peers the better and stronger we would become. Our team hoped rock climbing would improve our overall physical fitness and ability to work as a team to achieve a goal that is beneficial for our future health.
Daily physical activity is necessary for building strong bones and muscles as well as strengthening hearts and lungs. Exercise also helps young children to improve their gross motor skills, including running, kicking, throwing, and swinging. Regular physical activity can greatly decrease children's risk of becoming obese and developing associated health problems, as well as promoting better sleep. As well, since many young children play with other kids, exercise time can also help young children to develop good social skills such as sharing, communicating, and empathizing. Play time can also become a family experience which serves to bond family members together and allow adult members an opportunity to model healthy exercise habits for children.
Curriculum Model Position Paper Nate Burk Kinesiology 305 December 11, 2014 “A student-centered learning environment is characterized by high levels of student engagement and empowerment so that students become central to the learning process” (Richards & Levesque-Bristol, 2014). This would be my ideal setting for my physical education class. I want my students to inspire the curriculum, because if they are not interested in it or if it is not beneficial to them they will not benefit from my class. I will be an adapted physical education teacher so I could be working with children from the preschool level all the way up to high school. Having such a wide range of ages to work with will allow me to see the children
From this, my students will be able to express their individuality and I can help them develop this. I want my student athletes to be unique and, with that in mind, possess unique skills as it pertains to sports. I believe that if student athletes possess a firm understanding of who they are as individuals and what they are capable of, and then they can truly develop their individual style(s) of play. This in turn can help lead to team unity and can establish a team spirit within all the student athletes that can lead to camaraderie and ultimately, success. It is our job as educators and coaches to help develop our student athletes not only physically, but mentally as well; promoting uniqueness, along with individuality, can help in this developmental
I knew I wanted to do the same for others. Becoming a physical therapists will be a great way to interact and help other people which is what I enjoy doing. I also like to socialize with citizens too. While doing this you're helping people get back to their normal and positive side. Also, at times people get down on their selves during rehab.
Active Schools also attempts to build bridges with other clubs and organisations which will give youngsters the chance to continue and develop their sporting potential outside their school. Another example of Sportscotland developing ways to improve Scotland’s sport is through their Institute of Sport. Describing this as their ‘High performance arm’, it operates at the other end of the scale from Active Schools, moving from participation to developing elite athletes into world class performers. It aims to help fulfil Scotland’s sporting potential on the world stage and focuses on many areas which include: coaching, programme planning, sports medicine, sports science, strength and conditioning, performance analysis and performance lifestyle guidance. Whether you are a beginner and want to
