Romeo shows impatience when he was fighting Tybalt after Mercutio had died in the streets of Verona and he told him “Either thou or I or both must go with him” (III.i.125). This shows Romeos impatience because even after his friend had died, he took no time in mourning for his death but instead went straight back to Tybalt for revenge. Similarly, Mercutio is also always being impatient. One example of his impatience could be when he told Tybalt in the streets of Verona “Here’s my fiddlestick, here’s that shall make you dance” (III.i.45-46). Mercutio is saying that this is my sword and this is that which will cause you to dance around to avoid the edge of his blade.
Pocahontas and John Smith were young adults who fell in love sort of like Romeo and Juliet because their love seems impossible. The movie spices up when John Smith and Pocahontas are caught together. She was engaged to a Native American called Kocoum therefore it was tragic to find her with John Smith; the Native Americans try to kill John Smith but Pocahontas saves his life. The Disney movie basically portrays them as falling in love and at the end; John Smith is shot and leaves Virginia while Pocahontas stays. The real story did not happen that way.
They both have a lot in common such as the forbidden love between two star- crossed lovers, also most characters from both novels share common roles and similar emotions such as the tragic loss of some of the characters for example when Romeo thinks that he has lost his beloved Juliet or when Heathcliff loses Cathy. 2. In Romeo and Juliet, both characters display their true love and emotions for each other using “natural imagery” because when Romeo and Juliet are together or away from home they both can display how they truly feel for example the balcony scene is the only place Juliet could be her true self and express how she truly feels towards Romeo also the balcony scene is almost a place where Juliet can escape into because that is the only place where she can show her real feelings. This is similar to Wuthering Heights because the only place Cathy can be herself is when she is with Heathcliff or at the heights. The Heights is a place of “natural” earthiness also is one of the only place Cathy can display her true feelings towards Heathcliff.

Unfortunately they can’t be together, because their families hate each other. In the end they both commit suicide and because of their deaths their families are reconciled. In the play Tybalt is Juliet’s cousin, a member of the Capulet family. He is a very cocky and aggressive character who’s always looking for a fight.
Mean girls/ Julius Caesar Comparative Essay In the movie Mean Girls by Tina Fey and the play Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare there are many motifs. I will be specifically looking at motifs of betrayal from both stories that illustrate the theme “you have to be careful who you trust”. In the movie Mean Girls the main character Cady becomes very good friends with Regina George. Later in the movie Regina lies to Cady by telling her that she is going to hook Cady up with a boy, when really, Regina is trying to get with that same boy. Another example of betrayal in the movie Mean Girls would be when Cady gets all of Regina’s good friends to turn against her.
Next, the threats Tybalt sends Romeo also lead up to the suicides and the cause of death. Tybalt approaches Romeo and tries to start a fight by saying, “Romeo the love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain” (119). The constant threats Tybalt sends Romeo endanger his own family. Romeo was told if a family member of his or himself gets in Tybalt swore to himself that he would seek revenge on Romeo for crashing the party. Tybalt’s threats eventually become a full out issue for Romeo.
He approaches Juliet and after reciting a few lines comparing her to a saint her proceeds to kiss her. His aching heart for Rosaline seems to have recovered as soon as he found a new target, and the innocent Juliet takes every word to heart. Juliet falls trap to his charm and attention within a single meeting while Romeo was driven to the party because of his love for another woman. When a new opportunity for him to get a girl to sleep with presents itself, he takes it and seduces the first beautiful girl he sees. Not only is the love displayed in “Romeo and Juliet” extremely unrealistic, the romanticism is completely full of Romeo’s ulterior motives to forget Rosaline.
Though, the story’s ending is ironic due to the sniper recognizing that the enemy killed was his brother. The greater irony is that all the sniper’s enemies of the Free State happen to be his brothers, for they were all once together as one army. In a deeper perspective, all men are brothers being that they are descendants of Adam and Eve. O’Flaherty uses symbolism in regards to the sniper and his brother to any war where one person killed another.
