But now, we can also roleplaying on the social media or by online. Nowadays, roleplaying online has become popular since there are a lot of roleplaying agencies which provides an empty slot for those who wants to roleplay as their favorite idols. Most of the user are teenagers. Roleplaying online is fun as long as they know the rules of play. In some reason, teenagers think that roleplaying is very interesting, like a game. It is the game that they found allowed them to pretend to be a character in a fictional story or as an idol that they have already love. They can feel how is being an “idol” in social media because they pretend as him/her. And they think that this is better than just reading a story or watching TV, because it involved telling your own story and making choices to discover how the story goes turn out. But if they don’t know how to play in proper way, it can influence to the image of the idol who they played. For the example, a teenager roleplaying as an idol who has a good impression in a public. But he/she act in sarcastic way like saying something bad which is not like the real idol. People or other roleplayers will feel not comfortable and they will not like the real artist too. It is not like most theatrical roleplaying, one never knows whether he/she is interacting with a character that is a "real self" or with a character that is someone's alternative identity. The distinction between fantasy and reality is really blurred. The few studies that have examined how computer role-playing games affect perceptions of reality and subsequent interactions with others in the real world suggest the effects can be quite strong.
