The Role of God in Christian Education The given assumption is that a philosophy of education firmly rooted in God's truth, developed according to Godly thinking, and based on the authority, authenticity, and reliability of the Bible as the complete and final revelation of God concerning all matters of faith, truth, and practice constitutes a true philosophy of education. John17:17 “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth”. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”. 2 Peter 1:20-21 “Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit”. We as Christian educators need to base our teaching on the fundamental axiom that "all truth is God's truth" which establishes God's role in Christian education. God's role in the process of Christian education must be front and center. He is the Creator of all, all truth and knowledge come from Him, life is given by Him and taken when He desires, and all abilities, especially the abilities of the Christian educator, are gifts from Him. For Christian education there can be no discontinuity in truth, but every aspect of truth must find its unity in the God of all truth. To achieve this Christian educators needs to include prayer, it is the fundamental basis for a healthy spiritual life; it is our way of communicating with God. Of course, prayer is not a one-way conversation in which the believer lists their wants and needs. Rather, it is an opportunity to both speak to and hear from God. Prayer may take on many forms-supplication, praise, thanksgiving,
