Role of Computers for Children with special needs Technology has found its way into every aspect of our culture today. It's in medicine, it's in social work, and no even more than it used to be, it's in our education. Teachers are continually being encouraged to take technology classes so that their students can benefit from their knowledge. In Education, technology plays a role in the classroom, in assistive technology products, and software that is brought into the school. The most commonly used form of technology is Computers/ computer Education. Computers as a technology have been proven to be beneficial for not only children without disabilities but also for children with special needs. Computer technology allows today's special education programs to educate and include children with disabilities at a level which would have been difficult or impossible a few decades ago. Assistive technology helps disabled students learn with their peers rather than being educated separately. Teachers can customize lessons to every student's abilities and needs. Computer Technology is not beneficial for only the sighted; it plays a very important role for even the visually impaired and low vision children and adults. Computer technology has advanced to such a stage where in there are a number of soft wares and hard wares available for the visually impaired and to make it easy for them. Many people with serious visual impairments live independently, using a wide range of tools and techniques. With the help of computer technology, the visually impaired can do as much as the same as that a sighted can do, whether it is to surf on the internet, to search information or for education.
