I believe the educational environment is one of the most important places where the computer is placed. Computers have become an integral part of the education as they allow students and teachers access to information; helps in research projects; and prepares teachers for their jobs. Computer technology has given me the dream of distance learning a reality. I no longer have to limit myself to the classroom. I am able to learn from the comfort of my home and on my schedule.
I chose to focus on the PK-2nd Grade guidelines developed by NETS for Students. It is important to keep in mind that the profile that is set up for PK-2nd grade is meant as a guide for teachers to use as “indicators of achievements at this certain primary stage (“ISTE/NETS,” 2007) and it is based on the assumption or idea that these children will have regular access to several different types of technological tools. There is a multitude of technology that is widely available for the K-12 classroom. Software as simple as Microsoft Powerpoint and as complex as Auto CAD is available for every type of classroom. Hardware such as scanners, digital cameras, and flash drives are also a tiny handful of hardware that is available.
For some clients, laptops have turned into their favored processing gadget in light of the fact that it permits them to finish all the assignments they would require on a desktop however with the comfort of portability and adaptability. Tablets, then again, are presently the zenith of versatile engineering. They are minimized, extremely lightweight and to a great degree simple to convey. Nonetheless, they do not have the preparing force of a portable computer. Their usefulness as a processing gadget is exceptionally constrained, albeit sufficient for some individuals' employments.
Some of the common use of World Wide Web is to gain knowledge in research. When students are doing their home works, instead of going to the library and spending a little more time, they just need to go in front of the computer and search for the topic that they are researching on. Using the internet as a learning resource is somehow more efficient than books when it comes to time. But when it comes to reliability, books are still the best options for us to research since anybody can write, edit, and publish an article on the Web. Internet helped us to communicate with the ones we loved especially those who are far from us.
This is extremely beneficial for the children as they were learning through play whilst enhancing their knowledge both in school and at home which improves results and higher achievement. The interactive whiteboard gives lessons a different outlook to the traditional method of chalk and talk as it helps aid visual learners whilst giving opportunity for class discussions and positive behaviour. Using the Interactive whiteboard gives a lot more opportunities for teachers to present their lesson plans, making it more motivating and interesting for the children and helps keep them more focused and interested in what their being taught. It is clear that ICT in schools when used appropriately is a positive resource for both teachers and children and will continue to benefit children’s personalised learning throughout the curriculum. The sleek design make it easy to handle, and the options of parental controls make it ideal for educational and recreational use. The option to customize specific unwanted websites and age appropriate apps makes it not only very desirable but leaves the competitors something to be desired. Apple has made their product so user friendly that children have and use their product on a daily basis (Smith, 2012). In addition, apple has a variety of educational apps that many schools have now adopted for their curriculum. Not only is this beneficial to the public, private, and charter school system, but for the homeschooling children as well as children with learning disabilities.

Because many students also rely on the computer’s calculator, their ability to learn the proper methods of solving math problems might not be as enhanced. Because the traditional ways of learning are still readily available to students, it is important that parents and teachers encourage children to rely on them and not become solely dependent on
How do you plan to use the iPads in your classroom? In my fourth grade classroom I plan to develop a plan to improve my classroom instruction and increase student learning and engagement through technological innovation. I currently use technology in my classroom in an effort for students to demonstrate independent learning and technological exploration. Not only will this help the students meet instructional goals, but also help to further the technology adoption district-wide. I will share my experiences, knowledge, and concrete data with the school board, staff, and community members.
