Culturally, many people believe that men should be the leaders of any industry simply because they are men. In many places, the male is more dominant than the female in the working field along with many other fields. Cultures all over the world have the men being the leader in different industries. Even if a woman is qualified for a specific job, a male can get the job more easily simply because that is what has been the example in the workplace from before. The stereotype that males have more leadership skills makes results in the reality that sometimes it that males are more likely to get hired for such positions. Women often experience workplace discrimination due to their gender. Since many men believe that they are the more dominant, the assume their position of acting in that sense. This topic is important because discrimination based on gender defies what is right. A person should be able to obtain or achieve a certain position if they are qualified for that position, regardless of gender. This study measures the beliefs about employees with the leadership field. This topic is relevant because we want to see where the effects of the paradigm of leadership stereotype fits. Frequently, people encounter situations in which it is impossible to cause change in an environment. If it is believed that a system should run in a certain manner, then people will emulate the technique, regardless if it is correct or not.
